01Ordering items and sales

Items displayed on this website are also available for sale in our gallery. Please know that we sell on a first come first served basis. We will confirm your order via email once we have ascertained the item(s) is still available (We make every effort to make sure items online are in stock. However, please understand it may take time for us to reply. This is due to business holidays, etc.) All prices include sales tax.

We make every effort to ensure your personal information remains private. We will not share it with anyone except in cases where you have given your permission or when required by law to do so.

02Methods of Payment

Once your order has been confirmed, we will send you an invoice via Paypal for the full price of the item(s) ordered. Please pay by the date payment is due.

03Shipping

Once payment has been confirmed, we will insure the item(s) purchased for the same amount paid and ship it to you via EMS. Shipping costs will be covered by us. (Items valued over 1,000,000 yen will be packed and shipped by a trusted and professional shipping company. We will cover the costs.) We’re happy to have any item(s) professionally packed regardless of its price. Please let us know if you desire this service at the time of purchase. For objects under 1,000,000 yen, we will ask a professional shipping agent to give us an estimate of the shipping costs. We will then provide you with an invoice that includes both the cost of the item(s) and the cost of shipping.

We use TESPAC for packing and shipping.

Once items have shipped, we will immediately notify you of the tracking number. (Customers using the professional shipping service should note that it takes approximately 10 business days for paperwork and packing to be completed before items can be shipped. Busy periods may lengthen the time required for these processes.) Any import taxes must be paid by the customer.

04Guarantee

We stand by the accuracy of information given regarding era, description, provenance, etc. In the unlikely occurrence that a licensed appraiser determines our description is inaccurate, we will accept a return and refund your money and the cost of appraisal. We ask, however, that the customer cover the cost of shipping the item back to us. Separately, we ask that you not return any item that you have used or whose use was only temporary. We also ask that you refrain from returning items for subjective reasons, for example, it was different than you expected, etc.

We will accept returns of items in instances where we failed to detail damage or repairs in our description of the item(s). However, please note that we deal with mostly antique items, which have been used for hundreds of years or more. Finding items that are unused like modern ceramic or porcelain ware is very rare. We endeavor to describe the condition of every item we sell in as much detail as possible, but antique tea ware, etc., in Japan is prized for its imperfections, cracked or peeling glaze, etc. These are not seen as damage but rather endearing faults. When purchasing such objects, please be sure to carefully study the photographic images provided before deciding to purchase them.

We make every effort to ensure the items we send are not damaged at the time they are shipped and work carefully alongside shipping agents to ensure they arrive safely to you. In the unlikely case the item you have purchased arrives damaged or broke, please contact us immediately. Items are only insured for a certain amount of time after shipping and handling. Therefore, it is important for you to open and check the item(s) immediately after receiving it.
